Capistrano Animal Rescue Effort’s 13th Annual CARe Show

More than 400 cars are expected to participate in the Capistrano Animal Rescue Effort’s 13th annual car show. The show was born from an effort to raise awareness and money to rescue and find homes for stray animals in San Juan Capistrano.

The 2015 CARe show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the San Juan Capistrano Community Center/Sports Park, 25920 Camino Del Avion. The CARe Show will feature live entertainment, opportunity drawings, displays, vendors, goodie bags and more. Food and beverages will be provided by Los Golondrinas. Join the Orange County Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure for the second annual Paws FUR Pink on Valentine's Day Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Irvine Regional Park located in Orange. The park is home to the Orange County Zoo, Irvine Park Trains and and over 470 acres of park and trails.

Helpful Honda Pet Adoption Events

In an effort to help SoCal’s two-legged residents find new four-leggedfriends, the SoCal Honda Dealers and the Guys in Blue are hosting their annual Helpful Honda Pet Adoption events with local shelters and rescue groups throughout the month of March. At the Helpful Honda Pet Adoptions, there will be a variety of ‘purrks’ such as adoption fee discounts, face painting and more! All adopted pets will be sent home with a new leash and water bowl, and a supplies donation will be made to each local shelter or rescue group. Last year, the Guys in Blue helped save over 280 pets during their events and are hoping to set a new record this year.

Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California's 19th Annual Spring Games

Spring games is the rescue's largest fundraiser of the year.  All of the proceeds from this event go to saving the Basset Hounds we rescue.  Nearly 1,700 hounds have been placed in their forever homes since our inception.  It’s amazing that three hound lovers built this organization just by saving one hound in 1997. 

This year’s ring events include the howling contest, treat toss, synchronized swim, timed agility, costume contest, musical hoops and more.   Attendees can peruse raffle prizes, visit the hound craft booth, shop at the Vendor Village, and have your hound’s caricature drawn. Pre-approved families will receive adoption discounts during the event.

Come enjoy the games, shopping, new crafts & activities with your hound(s), BBQ, and HUGE raffle.
