HB Big 8K Run

Join us in beautiful, sunny Huntington Beach for our annual 8K run and newly added 2K run/walk (DOGS ALLOWED for 2K race only) The 8K starts at 8AM and the 2K starts at 10AM. These are professionally timed events! You’ll experience miles of Ocean views that will keep you in awe as you race to the turn-around point and back to the start/finish line where we have a village of vendors, water and an awesome DJ / MC!

We allow a generous 2 hour time limit, so take your time and enjoy the beautiful scenery! All levels of fitness are welcome at our events. We welcome walkers, mom and strollers. This is a rain or shine event!

Our Charity - Active1 and Save A Warrior™ are working together to raise money to help returning Warriors who are struggling with the invisible wounds of war. 100% of your donations through Active 1 go directly to Save A Warrior™

Fullerton's Dog Days of Summer

Dogs of all shapes, sizes and talents are being sought for the museum's annual "Dog Days of Summer" talent show and competition set for Thursday, Aug. 8th.

Doggie competitions and entertainment will be held from 5-8 p.m.; the market runs from 4-8:30 p.m.

Prizes will go to the dog who:

is the best kisser;
has the loudest bark;
is the fastest eater;
does the best pet trick;
and most resembles its owner.

Owners may sign their dogs up for the competitions the day of the event. The competitions are limited to 10 dogs per event.

In addition to the competitions, a variety of dog- and pet-related vendors will be selling dog treats, apparel, toys and supplies. Other vendors will be offering dog-sitting services, pet adoption, and animal shelter information.

The American Cancer Society Bark For Life is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer.

Wear your red, white and blue to show your patriotic spirit! 17th Annual “Walk for the Animals” benefiting the Orange County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

Come join presenting sponsor, The Walking Company, and over 800 animal lovers and dogs for a morning of fun at the 16th Annual Walk for the Animals to benefit the Orange County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. This year’s theme is “DOG BLESS AMERICA” so pull out your patriotic garb one more time this year! The event will be emceed by Maria Hall-Brown, part of the Real Orange team and host of the PBS SoCaL series Bookmark, and Ken Borgers of the Jazz Knob Internet Radio.

When: Date TBA from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 12:00 p.m., with the walk starting at 9:00 a.m. On event day, registration opens at 7:30 a.m. Event takes place rain or shine.

Where: Huntington Beach Central Park East located at Golden West Street and Talbert Ave, behind the Central Library.

Why: Collect pledges and win prizes while raising funds to support our programs which directly benefit the animals. Seal Beach’s 19th Annual 2014 Wag ‘N Walk

Canines and their companions are invited for tricks and treats in celebration of Howl-O-Ween. This seasonal Yappy Hour celebration is a chance for pups to strut their stuff in their favorite costume. A panel of judges will determine which canine will take home the prize in the costume categories of Scariest, Funniest, Most Glamorous and, of course, Best in Show. First place prize in each category is a hand-painted dog bowl by Debby Carman of Faux Paws Productions. Cost to enter the costume contest is $10 per canine.

2014 Haute Dog Howl'oween Parade & Pet Adoption Fair (Long Beach)

This is the World's largest Halloween pet event!

The 13th annual HAUTE DOG HOWL'OWEEN PARADE and human/dog costume contest is Sunday Oct. 27, 2013, 2:30 p.m. at New location:

The parade is expected to include a few hundred kids and adults in costumes, followed by more than 500 costumed dogs with handlers. A few thousand human gawkers will line the parade route, including a panel of distinguished judges that will choose a few dozen human and canine costume winners. Haute Dogs will raise thousands for spay/neuter programs, adoption/rescue groups, Operation Santa Paws and other Long Beach service projects.

Give the greatest gift of all this Holiday Season...a home and a future to a homeless pet!

The Irvine Animal Care Center is excited to host its fourth annual Home for the Holidays adoption event. More than 20 rescue groups will bring about 500 homeless dogs, cats & rabbits. Santa Claus will also be available for photos with children and pets. There will be vendors, food, a raffle, bake sale & much more. It will be a fun and festive pet friendly event for the entire family!

Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade

The theme for this years Laguna Niguel Parade is "Honoring Our Heroes". Please come and meet GSROC with all the beautiful dogs in this amazing holiday parade in Laguna Niguel. The parade is on Crown Valley Parkway between Nueva Vista and Crown Valley Community Park.

Newport Harbor Boat Parade

106th Annual Newport Beach Boat Parade

California's largest and one of the nation's most well established Holiday boat parades...the Newport Harbor Christmas Boat parade. The boat parade sees over 100 illuminated vessels cruise through the harbor of Newport Beach, CA. Bring your pups to this beautiful pet friendly event and enjoy a walk around Balboa Island where you'll also enjoy the Ring of Lights waterfront home and business decorating competition.
