Did you know you can shop with your dog in almost every store in Fashion Island? Now that's what we call dog friendly! So don't be surprised when you see a furry friend in the dressing room :)

You can even play a little ping pong over at Martin & Osa while you and your pup shop their latest fashions.

For us, Muttropolis is our favorite stop while at Fashion Island, as it truly is A Utopia for Pets and Their Parents.

Along with a fabulous supply of doggie fashion, toys, treats, bedding & more, Muttropolis hosts a number of fun & educational events.

Whether you stop in for a Mutt Mingle, a Holiday Pooch Party or an Adoption & Rescue Event...there is something for every breed!

When its time to eat, Fashion Island is home to three dog friendly restaurants:

Francoli Gourmet Emporium features authentic Italian cuisine with a casual dog friendly patio.

Red Robin, located upstairs in the Island Terrace, is the spot for a fantastic gourmet burger with bottomless french fries...a long time favorite (and home of my first job as a waitress & bartender!)

Café Beau Solei, Fashion Island's newest restaurant, is located in front of Muttropolis, featuring over 30 different salads with a number of shaded outdoor tables.

Newport Coast Shopping Center

Is where you'll find Newport's Dogma! store...a great little pet supply store with a wealth of information.

Not sure how healthy your dog's food is? Dogma's experts will offer some valuable information on dog & cat nutrition as well as free samples for your pal to taste.

The best thing about Dogma! is all their food & treats are all natural with no by-products, chemical preservatives, coloring or sweeteners added...sold at an affordable price!

After stocking up on nutritious food for your buddy Brandy, you might be hungry for some food of your own.

Crystal Cove

If your day in Newport Beach heads down the coast, stop for a walk along Crystal Cove State Park. Although dogs cannot be on the beaches or backcountry, they are allowed on the paved pathway above the beach.

Drop by the Crystal Cove Promenade (at 7772 East Coast Hwy), where you'll find dog friendly Pacific Whey Cafe & Baking Company.

With three dog friendly locations in Orange County, Pacific Whey Cafe serves breakfast, lunch & dinner offering a variety of creative omelettes, fresh salads, grilled sandwiches & pastries made from scratch.

You can even purchase a bag of homemade treats for your furry friends...woof!

When its time to catch the sunset, we know the perfect Newport Beach spot...the Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve.

Located at 2301 University Drive, this 1,ooo acre coastal wetland includes a Nature Preserve, hiking & bicycle trails, boat launching facilities, a visitor center and is home to a number of endangered plant & bird species.

A walk along the reserve is a great spot to wind down after all that shopping...where you and your buddy can explore trails, birdwatch and enjoy the setting sun. The perfect ending to your dog day in Newport Beach.
