This web site has live professional licensed Vets available to answer questions usually within 5 to 30 minutes for a fee of about $15. It is clearly not a substitute for having a trusted local veterinarian but on a few occasions my dog's behavior was odd. I didn't know if it was a serious health issue or just a common quirky thing dogs do sometimes. I was grateful to find out if I needed to take my dog to a local vet of just let my dog be a dog without driving to a vet, waiting 45 minutes, and paying a $50 office visit fee.

There are other web sites that do the same thing but I have only used this one and been pleased with the responses.
