Huntington Beach...where the beach isn't the only dog happy spot
you'll uncover in this surfside OC town.
Once you've decided to make it a Huntington Beach Dog Day, your first stop might be the Sea Cliff Village Shopping Center located at
Main & Yorktown on Beach Boulevard
showcasing an array of dog friendly attractions.
Pick up a new beach toy or frisbee (Marley loves the Floppy Disc) at Pet Supply, where
you'll find a fantastic selection of holistic pet food, playful toys and colorful collars.
Their motto? "Where pets and people smile".
Another fantastic Pet Supply store is located on Brookhurst in Fountain Valley where you'll find an enormous selection of food & supplies, friendly service & an onsite pharmacy.
Next door is a large dog friendly patio with a number of dining choices from Sango Sushi, Pizzarito,
Athens West, Pick Up Stix, Togos, Baja Fresh and Baskin Robbins. Grab some grub to go before you hit the sand!
And just around the corner you'll find The Doggie Spa where not only can you have your dog washed & groomed, you can
also purchase an assortment of Dog Beach apparel
which directly supports www.dogbeach.org, the non-profit corporation which administers the beach.
Show your support for Orange County's only off leash dog beach!
Speaking of the beach, it is time to head to la playa! While Marley and I enjoy all the dog friendly beaches in Orange County, there is nothing like being able to take that leash off as soon as her paws hit the sand.
Carefree, playful, just having FUN! Whether its diving into the ocean, playing ball or just running along the sand...dogs are truly in their own element here.
These pals look like they've dug up something of interest...something dirty I am sure.
So when its time to wash off all that salt & sand, the perfect spot is the Dirty Dog Wash located on the corner of Main & Pecan in downtown HB.
Here you can choose between a self-serve or full-serve dog wash which "includes everything but the dog".
To finish off your perfect dog day in HB, take your freshly polished pooch over to The Shorehouse Cafe, also right on Main Street, where you can enjoy some fabulous American fanfare (their pizzas are out of this world!) while your pooped pal takes a nap under your feet.
