Areas A and B

The group size requirement is 100 - 500 people per area.

Area A has 30 picnic tables and three shade canopies; Area B has 20 picnic tables.

Each area has 1 large fire ring, 1 large BBQ grill, sink, counters, cold drink bin, and electrical outlets (15-20 amps).

June 1st to September 30th:

The group size requirement is 25 - 100 people per area. Each area has 6 picnic tables, 1 large fire ring, and 4 pedestal BBQ's - all on concrete pads.

October 1st to May 31st:

Areas 5 and 6

The group size requirement is no more than 25 people per area.
These sites are intended for small families only.
Each area has 4 picnic tables and 4 pedestal BBQ's - all on concrete pads.

Pet Policy:

• Pets must be kept on a leash at all times.
• No pets allowed on the beach.
• All animals are to be kept inside at night & are never to be left unattended.
• A pet fee of $2 per day or $5 per week will be charged for each pet.
• Two pets allowed per site.
• All pets must be licensed and vaccinations current.
• You are solely responsible for picking up after your pets.
• Bags are located along the promenade for your convenience.
• Pitbull and Rottweiler breeds are not allowed.
• Any aggressive animals will be removed from the premises.
• Newport Dunes has sole discretion when any determination is made.

San Clemente State Beach has both dog friendly camping & day-use areas accessible from I-5 at the Avenida Calafia Exit.

There are two campgrounds: one is a 72 unit trailer/motorhome area with water, electrical & sewage hookups; the other is an 85 unit general campground area with stoves, tables, shade ramadas & water nearby. Each campground has buildings with hot showers, flush toilets and sink area.

Pet Policy:
Dogs must be kept on a leash not to exceed 6’ in length.
Dogs must be kept in a tent or enclosed vehicle at night.
Noisy and/or vicious dogs will be removed from the campground upon a complaint.
No dogs allowed on trails or beachs.
