Spotlight on Salty Dogs!

Orange County Dogs Make National Book!

Salty Dogs, the only photo book of dogs at the beach, includes many dogs photographed at Huntington Dog Beach! Jean M Fogle, the photographer, estimates that ½ of the book contains local dogs, while the other dogs live on the East Coast.

Dogs live in the moment, and Salty Dogs captures those moments of sheer exuberance as carefree canines frolic and rollick on the beach. No matter what your dog enjoys doing at the beach: swimming, playing, romping, or surfing, this book shows utter, unadulterated canine bliss and spontaneity. The pages are sprinkled with humorous, poignant, and inspiring thoughts that will warm your heart.

Pure joy on every can't open this book without smiling :)

Jean's first book, Salty Dogs, is now out in stores and available online. Amazon has the search inside function on this book so you can actually see some of the book and order at the same time.

I also want to mention the positive feedback I have received in the past few month as it brings a smile :)

A couple of weeks ago I met a couple and their dachshund at Noah’s Yappy Hour in Laguna Beach. They were visiting from Northern California and found dog friendly hotels and restaurants in Laguna via my website. They recognized Marley at my table and mentioned how much they appreciated our site in making their stay comfortable for them and their little pal (who was happily gobbling down some homemade beef stew provided by Noah’s Yappy Hour).

Another submission and restaurant recommendation I received:

“Your listing of restaurants has been very helpful for us as we have been on the go with our 4 pound pomeranian Jolie.

Recently, in San Juan Capistrano, we happened upon Cafe Mozart. I had seen this restaurant before, and wondered if they might allow dogs at their outside tables. It was a Friday night, and I called from Dana Point to see if they could accomodate us. The person who answered the phone was very friendly, and said absolutely. They asked us how many there would be in our party, and when we arrived a table was already set up, with a beautiful dish of water waiting for Jolie.

And the food. Wow! Cafe Mozart is a higher end restaurant, so we spent a couple of extra dollars, but everything was extraordinary, including the desserts.

The whole evening was extremely enjoyable, and I thought they would be deserving of a place on your lists. Here is the information:

Café Mozart
31952 Camino Capistrano
San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675
(949) 496-0212

Thanks again for your help in finding places to eat!”

Responses such as these make this work incredibly rewarding. Thank you for reading this Salty Dogs issue of The OC Dogumentary and for celebrating the furry friends who add so much joy to our lives.
